Coles, IGA, Woolworths And Corner Stores in QLD Affected

 

For our Abled® users ‘down-under’, a voluntary recall is underway for a variety of milk products produced by family-owned Maleny Dairies with USE BY dates of FEB 13 and FEB 12 because of E.coli bacteria found in lab samples.

Here is the official notice from Food Standards Australia/New Zealand:

 

Maleny Dairies have recalled:

  • Maleny dairies farmers choice pasteurised only milk (Gold top)
  • Maleny dairies low fat milk (Red top)
  • Maleny dairies full cream milk (Blue top)
 
from Coles, Woolworths, IGA and corner stores in QLD due to E.coli contamination. Food products contaminated with E.coli may cause illness if consumed. Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice and should return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund.

Maleny Dairies issued the following statement on their website:

 

Voluntary Product Recall

 

We regret to advise our customers that after completing our standard laboratory tests we have had a positive result for bacteria. The problem has now been rectified and only the dates listed were affected. For any individual concerns please private message us or contact your vendor.

 

Maleny Dairies adopts very stringent testing procedures and this bacteria was found to exceed limits set by us.

 

Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.

 

Milk may be returned to the place of purchase for a full refund or if you live nearby it may be returned to Maleny Dairies for a 200% refund.

 

At Maleny Dairies we strive to offer our consumers an excellent product and we will continue to maintain our very high standards. We apologise to our customers for this unfortunate event.

 

To reiterate . . . the problem has now been rectified only the dates listed were affected. For any individual concerns please private message us or contact your vendor
